How it works

  1. Drag & drop a photo of the tool (or a silhouette image) onto the center box
  2. The tool is traced automatically
  3. Draw an A–B line where you measured with calipers and enter its length (mm)
  4. Touch up with the pen and eraser, then "Make a bin"

No photo needed: build a shape in mm with the rectangle, ellipse and pen tools.

A plain background with clear contrast to the tool works best (white paper, a desk, etc.).

Tracing

mm

The outline is a vector line, not dots. Higher values remove more jaggedness.

mm

The outline will not bend inward with a curve smaller than this radius (fills bumps and joins the outside smoothly).

mm²

Orientation (center axis)

Draw a line through the center of the tool (center axis); the image rotates so that line is vertical.

°

Scale (A–B line)

Draw a line from A to B over a spot you measured with calipers, then enter its length.

Drag to draw. Shift for a square / circle. Click once to type the width and height.

Finger notches

mm

Click near the tool at the height you want; the notch snaps to the outline (black line). "Both sides" uses the left and right lines, "One side" the line nearer to your click.
